In August of 1998, ACHLA, a Hebrew search engine and index of Israeli sites, had us listed in their home repair directory.  Unfortunately, at some point in the last 6 years our listing disappeared.

The listing being in Hebrew, we couldn't even display the language properly... even in our state-of-the-art computer laboratory!

To the rescue came one of our Israeli readers, DM from Ra'anana, with a full translation:

It is interesting how the differences in language come through in the translation of a simple name... Natural Handyman. I have been asked over the years the origin of the name... do you use natural products only... is your brother the Un-Natural Handyman... are you related to the old Zap Comics character Mr. Natural... do you work in the "altogether"... etc.

This translation... "a handiman from birth", is perhaps the closest anyone has come to capturing the spirit of my nickname... The Natural Handyman. Though the name originated in a tongue-in-cheek reaction to the "all natural" craze that had overrun commercial marketing in the 70's (and still continues today), I have always had a knack with mechanical stuff, and come from a long line of hands-on folks!.  Add that to my naturally long hair and straightforward style and the circle is closed!

Thank you, DM.
