Marvin Windows Tilt PacŪ Double Hung Windows

Marvin is a top manufacturer of windows and doors, but for easy replacement of double-hung windows and tracks in serviceable frames, their Tilt PacŪ system is superb!  Having installed them in my own home, I can tell you firsthand they have a truly remarkable system.  Order the windows either fully clad in aluminum (choice of colors) or raw wood inside suitable for painting or staining.  The tracks are easy to install and nearly idiot-proof.

Pella Window and Doors

The PELLA website is a great resource for the shopper or the Pella owner with articles on window types, maintenance tips, installation help for the DIYer.  There is also a directory of dealers that sell Pella parts, searchable by zip code.  Have a 60 year old Pella window?  You can most likely still get parts!

Pickens Window Parts

Pickens Window Parts has over 5 million parts for all types of windows, screens, patio doors, and storm doors.  They don't have an online catalog, but you can contact them via email.

Swisco

Swisco has a ridiculous number of replacement parts for doors and windows, with an extensive online catalog.  They have parts for most anything that rolls, hangs or slides including closet door, cabinet door, cabinet drawer and shower door parts!

Window Renu

WindowRenu.com sells an easy-to-install track system to replace wooden window double-hung weight or spring systems.  It uses an aluminum tracks that holds the window sash in place with pressure.  Installation is fairly easy, though some modification to the sash may be necessary if the thickness of the sash doesn't meet the dimensions of the tracks.  They also have a style with a built-in lift assist for especially heavy window sash.
