Environmental Hazard LinksThe Asbestos InstituteThe Asbestos Institute is a non-profit organization with industry, labor, and government representation in its board of directors. Located in Montreal, Quebec, they have transferred thousands of documents on the safe use of asbestos, asbestos abatement guidelines, and medical studies onto this web site. There are few questions about asbestos that you will not find an answer to on this rich informational site. EPA Indoor Air Quality Home PageA subsite of the EPA's mammoth Web site, IAQ has three main sections... office, home, and school air quality. Each section contains articles on both diagnosing and solving air quality problems. Mesothelioma Legal ReviewThe complete resource directory for Mesothelioma related information, legal
services, and products. The National Lead Information CenterA sub-site of the NSC Environmental Health Center, it is worthy of a separate link. More lead information than you may ever need. The National Safety Council Environmental Health CenterA very wide reaching site encompassing both indoor and outdoor environmental hazards, some receiving more thorough treatment than others. For example, the asbestos section is somewhat less thorough than the Asbestos Institute's (link above), while they have a great environmental lead section (see link above). Radon Information CenterThis is a very thorough online resource of radon information. As with many of our links, this site is sponsored by a for-profit company, Air Chek, that markets a very reasonably priced radon test kit. They also have a very long list of links to other radon related sites... both government and private. If you have any questions about radon, this is a great place to start! |
