Borax
Borax is definitely another option for insect control. The US Forest Service has used borax for years to
control fungus in forests. NISUS Corp. in Rockford, Tennessee has a product called "Tim-Boor" which is effective in the
control of wood-destroying insects. Borax-based, it has low toxicity to wildlife
when diluted "in the wild"
