The tiles around the base of the toilet seem to be coming loose. What causes that?

Moisture is surely the culprit here. Where is it coming from?

With any moisture problem, whether it's in the your plumbing, your roof, or your basement, the first step is to locate the source of the problem The repair to damage comes later, unless they are one and the same (such as an alien spacecraft crashing through your roof after being struck by lightning during a torrential downpour).

Once you have determined the problem, you can do a tile repair. Click on the Ceramic Tile item in the Natural Handyman's Home Repair Index on the left!
