Trex Company, Inc. has agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit filed against it in New Jersey. After much debate, we agreed to settle this complaint to avoid expensive and time-consuming litigation, and we believe this decision is in the best interest of our customers and the Company. A copy of the Settlement Notice is available via the link below. There, you can read about certain rights qualifying consumers who purchased Trex®, Timbrex or Rivinite products between January 1, 1992, and July 31, 2004 may have.

To summarize the lawsuit, the named plaintiffs (four homeowners) made certain allegations regarding product quality and Trex Company statements about certain product attributes. Our decision to settle the case is not an admission of these allegations; moreover, the Court did not find fault with either Trex® products or product claims.

Trex Company disputes the allegations in this lawsuit. However, this settlement will allow our Company to quickly and efficiently remove this distraction and continue to focus on delivering the highest quality products to our valued customers.
