If you've been doing home repairs for any length of time, you know that most craftsmen don't say, "Pass me the reciprocating saw, please!"  No... they say, "Pass the Sawzall!"  Even if it isn't a genuine Milwaukee Sawzall!!

In my 30 years of home repair work, the Milwaukee Sawzall (model 6509) is the only brand of reciprocating saw I have ever owned, and the only one I would ever own!  This tool has everything going for it... balance, power and bragging rights!  If all of Milwaukee's power tools were as popular as their Sawzall, the other companies could pick up their marbles and go home.

This latest version is an "oldie but a goodie".  If doesn't have some of the frills of their top-line reciprocating saw (such as a rotating head for easier horizontal cutting or mind-numbing power), but for this pro handyman sticking to the basics is more than good enough!  (And the price is right!)

The best two features of this saw (aside from the obvious Milwaukee quality) are (1) a wickedly long cord... meaning I need to use fewer extension cords... and (2) the quick-release blade holder, allowing you to positively change blades without needing any tools.  And, amazingly enough, it works every time and holds better than ever!

The model we are giving away (6509-22) has 11 amps of reciprocating power, variable speed (0-2,800 stroke per minute), quick-lock blade clamp 3/4-inch stroke length; double bearing wobble plate to reduce vibration and a center pivot adjustable shoe rubber boot for enhanced grip.  It includes saw, 1 blade and case.
