Carpentry and Building Construction

Carpentry and Building Construction

by John L. Feirer, Gilbert R. Hutchings, Mark D. Feirer

This is without a doubt the most complete book on basic carpentry and construction you can buy. Reading almost like a textbook, it gives novices the basics to increase confidence, but is also a valuable reference for the experienced handyman. This book passes the "Desert Island" test, for sure! In fact, it is rumored that the Swiss Family Robinson used some of the techniques in this book to help them plan their own island castle.

NH still has the an early edition of this book, from 1976, that has seen him through many projects. Some things are timeless, and Carpentry and Building Construction is one of them!
